“One sharp thing hurts you, another heals you.”

Mother Knife by Derick Edgier was a premier performance during the Fall 22’ Gallery Season at the University of Iowa. The play follows Beth, a curious young woman who has lost both her mother and sister and lives secluded in the woods amidst a civil war. She is visited by a familiar stranger who is convinced that hidden details in their language of origin, and the books she used to read with her mother as a child, are the key to finding her family.
